Payments & Program Costs
As public charter schools, Baker Web Academy and Baker Early College are committed to providing a high-quality, tuition-free education to Oregon students. While the vast majority of our programs and services are fully covered, there are a few select offerings that may include optional or supplemental costs. Here’s what to expect:
- Free Public School — Baker Charter Schools are free public charter schools for students who enroll during the regular academic year. As part of our public mission, we provide a free and appropriate public education (FAPE) at the highest service level possible. For most students, no payments are required. Funding is provided by the Oregon Department of Education based on state per-pupil allocations.
- Summer School — We offer an optional summer school program for students seeking additional credits. Because summer term falls outside the standard academic calendar, a fee is charged. Students can take up to two classes (0.5 credit each) for a total of 1.0 credit over a 4-week period following the end of the school year in June.
- Field Trips — Baker Charter Schools organize a variety of engaging field trips throughout the year. Many trips are subsidized using school funds; however, there may be times when entrance or activity fees are the responsibility of families.
