Tuition-free, flexible public education for Oregon families
Established in 2008 and sponsored by Baker School District 5J, Baker Charter Schools empowers Oregon students through innovative, personalized, and rigorous educational opportunities.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: To provide high-quality education tailored to each student’s individual goals and learning styles.
Baker Charter Schools encompasses two distinct public charter schools — Baker Web Academy (BWA) and Baker Early College (BEC) — each designed to meet specific student needs.
Baker Web Academy (BWA)
Baker Web Academy offers flexible, home-based education with a blend of online classes, textbook courses, and engaging face-to-face experiences for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Baker Early College (BEC)
Baker Early College gives motivated Oregon high school students the opportunity to take real college classes while completing their diploma. As a tuition-free public charter high school within Baker Charter Schools, BEC partners with community colleges and universities across Oregon so students can earn college credits on campus, build confidence in a college setting, and graduate ready for their next step.
Both schools feature dedicated Oregon-certified educators and counselors, intentional, personalized guidance, and comprehensive student support. Through personalized academic planning, wellness resources, and strong family communication, Baker Web Academy and Baker Early College create enriching environments that prepare students not only for academic success, but also for the social and personal skills they’ll need in college, careers, and life beyond high school.
